Google Goggles Review An Actual Users Perspective

August 22nd, 2008

My unbiased Google Goggles review after purchasing it and thoroughly testing it myself. Can this latest AdWords tool really prevent Google Slap?

Hi and welcome to my latest internet marketer’s ‘product review’.

Well to be accurate here, the review for today is from my brother Anthony. He is a bit of a PPC guru, but never has time to blog, so I posted this review for him.

This current review is for Google Goggles, a Google AdWords PPC tool.

Google Goggles is a newly released Google Adwords product released by Larry Ostrovsky and Amish Shah that supposedly combats Google slap, the arch enemy of every Adwords advertiser.

Larry and Amish are known for their involvement in the creation of hexatrack.

As you will know, Google Slap is really an adjustment made to AdWords that penalizes (slaps) advertisers who have poor landing pages and sites with little content, or advertisers who use poor quality AdWords ads.

This end results if not rectified is highly inflated unprofitable bid prices.

I myself first heard about Google Goggles from Frank Kern who endorses this product.

Frank Kern is well know for his many successful internet marketing products and is who, along with Ed Dale, I personally attribute my online success to.

There has been much anticipation at the forthcoming release of this product and I wanted to test it out properly and see just how good Google Goggles is and if it lives up to the hype.

Google Goggles claims to potentially do following;

* Help prevent new sites being google slapped

* Help improve previously slapped web sites

* Determine your Adwords keywords quality scores even “BEFORE” google does!

* Learn your competitors quality scores

* Learn exactly what you need to do to improve your own quality scores for every keyword

* Decrease your bid prices

INSTALLING

I purchased my copy of the software for $97 and immediately upon payment via clickbank, was taken to the download page. The download page had a camtasia video showing exactly how to install the software. The software was easily installed on my PC in about 90 seconds.

Quality Score Results

This product is a cross platform design, meaning the one version will install on both a PC or a Mac. It uses the “adobe air” software platform which is proven and well tested.

The program is web based, meaning you are using the software on the product owners server.

USING THE PRODUCT

Basically, once you open the program, you are required to enter up to 5 keywords, and the Google Adwords ad you wish to test. That includes the ad headline, the description line 1 and description line 2, and display and destination URLs.

Being an Adwords advertiser myself for the past 4 and a half years, I started by using keywords and ad’s from some of my current adwords campaigns.

The results that come back with 30 seconds after clicking the ‘Get Score’ button is your quality score for each of the keywords entered.

You then have the option of viewing a chart with more detailed information and the following data with a score becomes available.

* Ad Copy

* Landing Page

* Affiliate Link

* Number Pages

* Domain name

* Meta tags

* Links

* Google site map,

* Biz pages

* Video

All the above are rated on a scale from Poor to OK to Great.

They results can be easily downloaded as a pdf to your desktop.

RESULTS

The results I obtained results using keywords and ads from some of my current campaigns were very accurate indeed.

In almost every test I carried out, the quality scores obtained by using the Google Goggles software was the same as the quality score given by Google for the individual keywords tested.

With the “View chart” option and the extended details mentioned above, the software program offers help and advice on how to improve each of the variables such as landing page, ad, domain name etc.

This help comes in the way of online videos.

You simply click the variable you want help with and watch the video.

For example, in one of my tests, I clicked on the domain score and the video gave me detailed tips on choosing a better domain and shared results of research on whether a public or private domain was better at helping prevent google slap.

I also tested Google Goggles on new domains and campaigns that were not yet live. In other words, I was able to get a quality score for keywords I was considering using in a campaign.

The advantage of doing this simple research before starting your AdWords campaign is that you are able to tweak you landing page and ads before starting your campaign.

That should result in keywords that are much less unlikely to ever get google slapped.

THE POSITIVES

The ability to gain a remarkably accurate quality score for any keyword in a matter of minutes.

Ease of installation and use.

A true cross platform design, meaning one version will install on both a PC or a Mac.

Quick results and ability of download pdf.

Suggested ways of improving each keywords quality score.

30 day 100% refund guarantee.

NEGATIVES

There is a maximum of 5 keywords that can be analyzed each time.

The monthly cost of $13.95 may not suit everyone but in our opinion it is a small price to pay for such valuable information.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE

When you purchase Google Goggles, you are also given an account with HexaTrack – an apparent value $67 per month.

It is claimed that HexaTrack is a new tool for online marketers that uncover profitable niches and affiliate offers.

SUMMARY

Google Goggles is a newly released Google Adwords product released by Larry Ostrovsky Amish and Amish Shah that supposedly combats google slap, the arch enemy of every Adwords advertiser.<

Out testing showed that this product does have the ability to quickly provide remarkably accurate quality scores for your keywords.

With Google Goggles, all you have to do is download google goggles, install it, and learn how to use google goggles.

It’s very simple.

Google Goggles will look into ANY Website, and give you a very accurate reading of how Google sees your page.

Google Goggles may well solve the Quality Score problems for many AdWords Advertisers

It also offers help with improving your quality scores which should help lower bid prices.

I would recommend any AdWords advertisers to seriously consider this product.

Regards

Anthony

Welcome to Honest, NO B.S. Internet Marketing Reviews. Pretty Unique, Huh?

February 17th, 2008

Hi,

My name is Brian, and I am fed up with Internet Marketers.

If you’re like me, you have probably bought a heap of packages and been continually frustrated by how bad many are.

Sure there are good ones, for example if you’re into Domaining, check out my review of Phil Craig’s Domains into Dollars, or more recently my review of Sherry Han and Avery Berman’s Fast Domain riches, which is also about buying and selling domain names for profit.

Some of the other gem’s I have been productive with include the Lazy Marketers (Chris Rempel’s) classic ebook Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate, and an Aussie’s web traffic course (Tim Buchalka). And that was free.

I aim to review these two products shortly when I get some time.

But don’t get me started on some of the crap products from Mike Filsaime, Jeff Johnson, and sorry to say it Howie Swartz (This guy used to be outstanding, but seems to have gone for the cash grab at the expense of product quality as so many of the Guru’s do).

It’s sad to say but with these three names alone, I’ve spent in excess of $5000 and made nothing out of it. I’m lucky I found some of these other guys though (Chris and Tim), who have helped me in my journey to get rid of the J-O-B.

I’m down to working 10 hours per week for “the man”, and the rest of my income is being supplemented by the Internet.

You can be happy in the knowledge that the information is genuine, and the reviews truthful on this website, I am calling it as I see it, with no holds barred.

Don’t expect to see an opt-in form, or a one time offer here either (on my money making sites sure, but not here).

This is just my attempt to keep it real and put out information to help other people.

I hope you enjoy reading, and more to the point, get on board with the products I am recommending, and be sure not to bother wasting times with the crap ones.

In the interests of viewing the world in a “glass is half full” light (as opposed to a “glass half empty”) I am putting the reviews of the products I think are good first, but don’t worry the negatives ones wil be here soon!

So get out there and make it big, and I hope to see you around the trap’s one day.

Brian
